FIFA World Cup 2026 - Scotland & England Group Fixtures

Flying the flag for the UK at this summer's FIFA World Cup 2026 are Scotland and England, and their opening group games are almost here!

Scotland returns to the World Cup after a 28-year absence, and they've landed in the tougher draw of the two. Brazil and Morocco are their main rivals in Group C, with Haiti completing the group. They're first up with their opener against Haiti at 2am BST on the Sunday 14th June, which will be a lively watch for early risers.

King Charles has now approved an extra World Cup bank holiday for Scotland on Monday the 15th to both signify the men’s team qualifying for the first time since 1998, and possibly help with the sleep deprivation caused by the middle of the night kick off!

England open against Croatia on Wednesday 17th June, a familiar foe who knocked them out at the semi-final stage in 2018. It's a manageable group on paper, with Panama (beaten 6-1 by England at Russia 2018), and Ghana rounding it out, although they definitely won't be an easy opponent.
