Puma Unveils the 'Orbita Ultimate PL' as the Official Premier League Football, Ending Nike's 25-Year Reign

A new era for the Premier League has officially begun with the launch of the brand-new official match ball from Puma, the 'Orbita Ultimate PL'. This marks a significant shift in the league's aesthetic and technical partnerships, as Puma takes over from Nike, who had been the official ball supplier for the past quarter of a century.

The new football, which will be used for the 2025/2026 season, boasts a striking and vibrant design. The 'Orbita Ultimate PL' features a predominantly white base with bold, graphic overlays in shades of purple, pink, and black. These dynamic patterns are designed to represent the energy and passion of the Premier League.

Puma has emphasised the advanced technology incorporated into the new ball. Key features of the 'Orbita Ultimate PL' include:

• A unique 12-panel design: This construction, with equally sized panels, is engineered to provide a more consistent and true flight path.
• Enhanced aerodynamics: The ball's surface texture and panel configuration are designed to improve its aerodynamic performance, allowing for greater accuracy and control in passing and shooting.
• High-frequency molded construction: This technique enhances the ball's durability and shape retention, ensuring it performs consistently at the highest level of the game.
• Improved touch and feel: The materials and construction are also said to offer a superior feel on the foot, boosting player confidence and control.

The 'Orbita Ultimate PL' will make its on-pitch debut during the Premier League Summer Series in the United States this July, the Premier League's pre-season summer tournament, before being used in the opening fixtures of the 2025/2026 season.
