"Why I Built Kickspace. And Why Grassroots Football Deserves Better." - By Mark, Founder of Kickspace

Grassroots football has always been the heartbeat of our communities. It’s where friendships are made, confidence grows, and kids fall in love with the game long before league tables or trophies matter. But for something so important, finding the right club has always been far harder than it should be.

As a parent and grassroots supporter, I kept seeing the same problems:
  • Parents didn’t know where to look.
  • Clubs struggled to get the word out.
  • Teams were folding simply because families didn’t know they existed.
  • Information was scattered across Facebook pages, old websites, and word of mouth.
It didn’t sit right with me. So, I built Kickspace.

A Simple Idea: Make Grassroots Football Easy to Find.

Kickspace started with one mission:
Connect parents with the right grassroots football clubs, quickly, simply, and locally.

No more endless scrolling.

No more outdated information.

No more missed opportunities.

Just a clean, central place where families can discover clubs, and clubs can showcase their teams.

Helping Clubs Grow, One Team at a Time.

Clubs are the backbone of grassroots football, but they’re often run by volunteers with limited time and resources. Kickspace gives them:

  • A clear, modern profile.
  • Tools to highlight teams that are recruiting.
  • Space to share training times, locations, and coach details.
  • Better visibility to local families.

When clubs grow, communities grow.

The Kickspace Foundation - Giving Back to the Game.

One thing I’m incredibly excited about is the Kickspace Foundation, launching soon. The idea is simple: 10% of all Premium revenue goes straight back into grassroots football.

This fund will support:
  • Equipment grants.
  • Help for families who struggle with fees.
  • Support for new teams forming.
  • Community‑driven projects that make football more accessible.

Kickspace isn’t just a platform, it’s a way to reinvest in the game we all love.

Why This Matters.

Grassroots football isn’t just about sport.

It’s about belonging.

It’s about giving kids a place to grow.

It’s about community.

If Kickspace can help even one more child find the right club, or help one more team stay alive, then it’s doing its job. But I believe it can do far more than that.

A Thank You to the Grassroots Community.

This whole journey has been shaped by conversations with coaches, parents, and club volunteers. People like Matt from ChildrensFootball.com, who took the time to share ideas, advice, and encouragement. That’s what I love about grassroots football - everyone wants to help each other succeed. Kickspace is built on that same spirit.

What’s Next.

Kickspace is growing every week. More clubs are joining, more parents are discovering it, and the Foundation will soon begin supporting the community directly.

This is just the start, and I’m excited to build something that genuinely makes a difference. If you’re part of a club, a parent, or someone who cares about grassroots football, I’d love to hear from you.

We’re building this together.
