Welcoming girls from across Moray and Speyside, Moray Girls Football Club offers football training for girls born between 2013 and 2006. Based in Elgin, Moray they have age-appropriate training sessions for young female footballers who want to play in a girls’ team.

Moray Girls Football Club was established in 2009 by a group of parents who were keen to provide the girls in the Moray community with an opportunity to be part of a local football team. The Club is also a Scottish FA Quality Mark Bronze Club. The Club has always put emphasis on developing girls as both players and people.

Their Club follows guidelines laid out by Scottish Womens Football (SWF) and the Scottish Football Association (SFA) on how best to develop their young people. As players, they encourage their young people to develop their technical, tactical, mental and physical capacities, as well as to respect their opponents, teammates and themselves, and to compete to the best of their ability while respecting the laws of the game.

The Club is a registered charity and is run completely by volunteers, registered coaches, plus several parent helpers. Their coaches ensure there is someone to train their young players and give up a lot of their time to do so. Likewise, their parent helpers also dedicate their time to fundraising, administration tasks and assisting coaches with match-day duties.
