Moss Bank Junior Football Club was formed in Bolton in April 2006 by a group of volunteers, whose aim was to provide children and young people within the communities of Halliwell, Heaton, Smithills, Astley Bridge, and Johnson Fold the opportunity to participate and play football in a safe, supervised environment, so that they could progress and develop to achieve their full potential in life.

To sustain the aims of Moss Bank Junior Football Club, all managers and coaches have a minimum FA Playmaker entry-level football course and FA Level One Introduction to Football. They also have a growing number of Level Two qualified coaches and are positively engaged with an on-going rolling programme of training volunteers to the required standards of Child Protection and FA Coaching (Level 1 and 2 qualifications) to enhance the safe environment and quality of coaching that, at present the volunteers at Moss Bank Junior Football Club can offer.

They are a 3 star Accredited Club that is at the forefront of developing the Moss Bank facilities to further enhance the local community and children’s sport within Bolton.
