Sporting Weston FC is an FA Chartered & Equality Chartered grassroots adult and juniower football club based in Weston-super-Mare (Kewstoke and Cleeve) with very strong links to the local community. Many club members are employed by local businesses, local authorities and charities.

The football club was inaugurated in 1998 in the Weston Sunday League as a way for a group of friends to play football together. Two of these friends are still at the club – First Team Manager Adam Palmer & Secretary & player Gary Booth.

In 2022, the club welcomed a new youth football club starting with 2 age groups, but quickly growing to cover all youth football age groups, with 10 age groups represented, and over 20 teams playing in league games, including a dedicated junior girls team. 
The club have a development plan to grow the girls football section, and in 2023, the club saw the addition of an adult ladies football team, The Sporting Vixens to provide a pathway for all female players.

Every Sporting Weston coach across all age groups is required to be qualified to a minimum standard:

  • DBS checked
  • FA Playmaker
  • First Aid
  • Safeguarding for all
  • Concussion training
