Founded in 1976 by the current President, Jim Gourley, Valspar provides a home for youth football in Ayrshire.

They are a quality mark youth football club based in Ayr, Scotland, providing an environment for young players to play football in the West of Scotland League, with representation from 5 years through to 19 years. 

Participant Membership of the club is open to all young people aged 4 to 21 and is as representative as possible with no gender, religious, racial or political restrictions. Where the teams are going through the early development years, they are encouraged to allocate equal game and training time to each and every individual player.
